Ingredients:
- Nut milk of your choice - 2 cups (I make almond milk)
- Optional: handful of hazelnuts
- Optional: generous sprinkle of hemp seeds
- Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
- Stevia liquid: 20 drops (or to taste; I use SweetLeaf's Vanilla Creme)
- Cacao nibs (or dark chocolate pieces): 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon: 1 tsp (or to taste)
- Nutmeg: 1/4 tsp
- Optional: dash of cayenne pepper
- Cacao powder, raw (or cocoa powder): 2 tbsp
- Peppermint extract: to taste (I use 1 tsp)
- Optional: vegan whipped cream of choice (I use rice whip, which contains a little rice syrup)
Directions:
- Make almond milk if necessary
- Blend in hazelnuts, hemps seeds, vanilla, stevia and cacao nibs
- Strain into pot
- Put on stove at medium temperature
- Whisk in cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, cacao powder and peppermint
- When at desired temperature, remove from heat and pour into glasses
- Top with vegan whipped cream and a sprinkle of cacao powder
