Berkeley, CA - August 3: Karine Brighten Events presents Veg Speed Dating, an evening of mingling with potential matches, 45 minutes of speed-dating, drinks and vegan food from Saturn Café. This first event is for heterosexuals ages 21–44, and future Veg Speed Dating events are already being planned, including an all LGBT and a “50 plus” event.

New Organic Vegan Wines Launched in the US ~ Organic Vintners introduced new red and white Spanish wine called Sol de Agosto and cost only $9.99. The Tinto is described as "medium bodied with notes of berry, tart plum, and spice with soft tannins and acidity on the finish", and the Blanco has "warm fragrances of dried peach fruit and stony minerals on the nose. The palate is round with a creamy texture, traces of grapefruit and low acidity. Spicy with a racy finish."Worth a Read
