Question:
Whats a good natural deodorant?
Answer:
The Crystal is amazing - been using it for years (click to read my review)! It's just salt, and you can get it as a solid rock or as a spray (the former has less or no packaging). Some people also use baking soda - rub it on with a bit of water or oil (like coconut oil). Either way it may take some time for your body to adjust, but it will eventually become very effective. Make sure to wash your arm pits before using - salt won't take away stinky armpits, but it will prevent it. It also will not act as an antiperspirant, because our bodies were meant to perspire! : )

Ahh thank you for this post! I was planning on doing a 'natural' deodorant post soon because I've tried a few types I was not pleased with. I will definitely try both of these options :o)

I agree..the Crystal rocks! (sorry, couldn't resist). I usually use Alba natural deodorant stick over the top, just for the scent, too. I've not tried the liquid Crystal. Does it work as well as the solid deod?
I LOVE Lafe's:

I've been using this brand of salt crystal for about a year now and wouldn't go back. One benefit is that my clothes take less of a beating and are easier to clean. The residue that was left behind by antiperspirants sometimes discoloured the material and was hard to wash out. My only con is that as the salt crystal wears on from wetting and applying everyday, it erodes and looses it smoothness. The sharp edges that form make it a challenge to apply. Mine is over a year old but there is plenty of life left in it. It would be nice if I could figure out a way to use it all comfortably.
