My favorite green store in Los Angeles is hiring a part-time store manager - what a great job opportunity for a environmentalist! The owners of The Green Life are some of the nicest people I know in the eco world and I'm sure they would be fantastic employers. Plus, the store is really nice - small but packaged with great products, open and bright, and in a great part of town (Main St in Santa Monica). Part-Time Store Manager

The Green Life, an environmentally-friendly boutique, seeks a Part-Time Store

Manager to oversee Store Operations and Customer Service, 1-2 days a week. The

Part-Time Manager will be responsible for fully managing the store without supervision

1-2 days per week.

Schedule:

8-10 hrs per week (Sundays). Occasional Saturdays (possibly other days when

available).

Pay:

$13 - $15 hourly, plus other benefits

Duties:

• Store opening & closing

• Direct supervision of store

• Helping to define store policies & procedures

• Customer service

• Maintain store displays and appearance

• Restocking and some visual merchandising

• Driving sales

• Some inventory control

Experience Required:

• Retail experience (2-5 years)

• Customer service experience in a retail environment (1-2 years)

Skills:

• Knowledge of environmentally-friendly products and environmental issues

• Ability to deliver customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations

• Ability to learn and communicate the selling points of a wide variety of products

• Effective oral communication skills

• Knowledge of the retail environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong sales skills
