I always forget exactly what day in October I started this site, and oddly enough when I decided to look it up today I discovered it was exactly 2 years ago! I can't believe it - my how time flies. It's amazing to see the progression from my post style to the appearance of this site.
Eco-Vegan Gal began as an experiment and developed into a hobby, but I never thought it would turn into a career! In October 2008 I was very focused on making narrative films and my eco-vegan lifestyle was simply a passion. However, I was inspired by the success of Green LA Girl (aka Siel), who introduced me to many amazing eco people in L.A., and before I knew it this site became serious! I was reviewing products left and right and attending every event in town, then one day it occurred to me that I loved all of that, especially when I incorporated videos, so I decided to give it my full attention...well, almost.
Lately my focus has been a little scattered. Since I'm still working on ways to monetize Eco-Vegan Gal I do a lot of freelance work for other amazing healthy and sustainable companies, such as:
- writing on a regular basis for several sites such as Greenwala and Organic Authority
- guest posts on sites like Your Daily Thread, Living Harvest, and Organic Soul
- freelance personal assistance for a few amazing people in the green world
- social media consulting for some incredibly healthy companies
- photography and videography (events, food, people)
Needless to say, I'm a busy gal! So, if you don't see me posting on here everyday or don't receive a response from me right away, now you know why!
Thank you, the reader, for all of your support. Whether you just discovered Eco-Vegan Gal today or have been following since the beginning, I wouldn't be here without you. My passion is teaching people how to be healthier and more sustainable, and this site has made it possible for me to do that on a regular basis. I appreciate all of your feedback and questions (even though I don't always have time to respond to you right away).
Looking forward to seeing what the next 2 years will bring!

Congratulations! I've been following your site for a year now (although I think I've looked up and watched about every video you've made, lol)and I absolutely love you! You're an excellent writer, charismatic on video, and it's obvious you're passionate about what you do. You've made veganism so much more approachable for me; please never stop.
